Gambit is set to start filming on location in New Orleans March 19th. Now all they need to do is find a director that shares their vision. Deadpool 3 is a chance to have one last hurrah for the Fox X-Men movies and their take on the iconic mutants. There is a new version that people use now. Deadpool 3 may bring in Channing Tatum as Gambit, but the casting decision from an unmade Fox film is a joke that likely shouldnt be revisited. It is something that is now part of the past.

Verbinski was given the director’s chair in October, and there was no reason given for his departure from the project just three months later.
Other films, like The Ring and A Cure For Wellness, showed his directorial chops outside the arena of blockbuster tentpoles, and his addition to Gambit was largely seen as a promising development. This version is written by Joel and Ethan Coen. It is a remake of the 1966 film of the same namestarring Shirley MacLaineand Michael Caine.
